How far in advance should I be booking and what is the booking process?
We can accommodate your move at short notice. As little as 48 hours if we have an available space in our booking schedule. However, we recommend that you book your removal as early as possible to ensure the day is as organised as possible. We will work hard to excel your expectation for removal day and an advance booking makes this straight forward. 
 
How the booking process works : 
 
  1. Book a Home Visit and Get your Free Quotation (We require that you provide us with the full replacement value of your goods (as new)
 
2. View your quotation and customise it by ticking the insurance and waiver services you require
 
3. Return the form to us with either the date you require or let us know that the date is still to be confirmed. 
 
4. Finally, sign your Acceptance form back to your Move Manager. When we have received your acceptance and payment, your move will become a confirmed booking,
Do you provide removals outside the UK?
Yes, we move people to Europe too. We would be delighted to discuss how we can accommodate your requirements. Please call us if you are planning to move abroad or you are moving to Scotland from Europe. We also move our clients to England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. 
What if I have to change or cancel my booking?
We would be delighted to assist you to change or cancel your booking at any time. We will work together to rearrange your date or can leave your booking as ‘to be confirmed. 
 
If you are looking to change or cancel your booking, our best advice is to call us as soon as possible on 0800 987 5550.
 
When booking, you will be offered the option to purchase cancellation waiver. This is equal to 10% of the removal costs. This protects you from having to pay any fees in the event that the unexpected happens and ensures complete peace of mind. 
Do I have to pack everything myself?

Who will dismantle and reassemble my furniture?

Would it be possible to leave my contents in my chest of drawers?

For safe removal, drawers must be empty. Our team is on hand to pack and wrap the contents of your furniture drawers. See our Packing and Wrapping section for more info! 

Can I purchase packing boxes and bubble wrap?

Yes of course! Just email us at hello@boxsmartstorage.com and we can organise this for delivery the very next day. Opt for our packing and wrapping service and benefit from FREE boxes and materials.

What cards do you accept for payment

All major cards are accepted. We do not accept American Express due to the high transaction charges.

What about my carpets - Will they get dirty?

We use floor protection such as shoe covers to ensure we operate in a clean and careful way whilst working in your old and new property.

Can you move my self-assembly furniture?

We can arrange for your self-assembly furniture to be disassembled but this depends on each item’s age, condition and complexity.

Do I need to disconnect my applicances for moving day?

Please disconnect, drain and dry all appliances prior to our arrival. In order to avoid damage, secure washing machine drums with the brackets supplied by the manufacturer. A tip to avoid unpleasant smells from fridges and freezers – Wash them out thoroughly using a solution of hot water and bicarbonate of soda.

What time will my removal team arrive?

We usually arrive at a time that suits you between 6.30am – 10am. Its best to start as early as possible on moving day. If you require a specific time not included above, please contact us and we can arrange this for you.

What are your customer service opening hours?

Your dedicated move manager is contactable 24/7.

What happens if I don't get my keys on time?

Yes, we work with The Salvation Army and Barnardo’s to ensure furniture is disposed of responsibly and given a second life where possible.
